Frontier Innovations Foundation is a global foundation dedicated to supporting last-mile access solutions for communities in India by catalysing funding for gender and digital technology solutions for women-led business models.

In deep, rural communities, traditional, issue-based philanthropy often fails to take root because it is unable to significantly address the fundamental barriers to transformation. Frontier Innovations is unlocking philanthropic funding to re-imagine how we address the systemic changes that lead to sustainable outcomes, as demonstrated by our trailblazing initiative, She Leads Bharat.

Our Mission

We unlock philanthropic capital to power women-led solutions at the last-mile, bringing together philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and communities to co-design programmes that deliver digital access, entrepreneurial opportunity, and financial independence. By elevating women’s agency, we spark sustainable change that transforms families and communities for future generations.

Working in partnership with women in these communities, our initiatives are focused on Gender, Climate, Healthcare, Education and Financial Inclusion.

5 Year Vision

By 2030, the Foundation aims to engage, train and support 1 million rural women, who, in turn, will impact 100 million lives in India and across the Global South.

When Saheli’s rise, whole communities rise. Together we can move beyond aid toward agency, from dependence toward dignity and from scarcity toward shared prosperity.

She Leads Bharat

In rural India, over 800 million people still live without basic life’s essentials – access to clean water, safe energy, healthcare, and education. While traditional philanthropy has poured millions into issue-based initiatives, these efforts often fail to take root because they don’t tackle the fundamental barriers – women lack agency and economic access.

She Leads Bharat changes that. At its heart is the Saheli Network – local women trained and empowered to be entrepreneurs, providers and community leaders. These women are not recipients of aid. They are architects of progress – delivering goods, services and opportunity directly to their villages.
